What are the five most important books you have read?
Hands down the most important book I have ever read is the Bible. I read a lot
for both pleasure and study, so I am not sure if these are the most important
books that I have ever read, but the most memorable are: Death in the Long
Grass by Peter Capstick, Man-Child in the Promised Land by Claude
Brown, Hungry Men by Edward Anderson, The Prophets by Abraham Heschel,
Systematic Theology by Charles Hodge, The Institutes by John
Calvin, and the Westminster Confession of Faith.
What talent do you wish you had?
Juggling. I have tried it but my hands get in the way.
What is your favorite movie quote?
"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here. This is the War Room!"
-
President Muffley (Peter Sellers) in Dr. Strangelove
"Is this heaven?" "No, it's Iowa."
- Ray Kinsella (Kevin Costner) in Field of Dreams
What do you order at Starbucks?
I
avoid Starbucks. They confuse simple minded folks like myself. I can’t figure out how use their “metric”
system. Instead of selling coffee in small, medium, or large cups they use Tall,
Venti, and Grande. Way too confusing when I need coffee
I like most all food, with Mexican food at the top of the list. Rubio’s steak quesadilla and hot sauce is a staple. I love American, Italian, and Mexican food. I tend to stay away from most Asian food, but enjoy it on occasion. I am firm believer that every person is entitled to hate at least one food, and as such I choose to hate lima beans. It should be noted that brussel sprouts and beets are closely related to dreaded and oft hated lima beans.
