NCPC Student Ministry Update Summer 2012: Camps and a few dates

Hey parents and friends of NCPC Student Ministries!

Summer is here!  So is camp!  Here are some upcoming dates and details.  We will release the rest of our summer calendar in the next few weeks.

Jr High Summer Camp
We are headed to Ponderosa Pines Christian Camp for Jr High (next years 7th & 8th grade students) July 30-August 3.  Pondo is a wonderful camp with a stellar reputation located west of Big Bear.  We leave Monday morning and return Friday afternoon.  The cost will be $340, which covers camp (program, housing, meals), counselors and transportation.  Register now with a deposit of $50 (checks payable to NCPC with your students name and Pondo 2012 in the memo).  All monies and forms due by Sunday July 29.  We will be showing some promo videos to students in the Dome which can be found at www.pondo.org. Spots are limited - get your deposit in today!

Sr High Summer Camp
For High School we are headed to Hume Lake yet again!  August 12-18, we leave Sunday morning and return Saturday night.  The cost will be $550 (down $20 from last year!), which covers camp, counselors and transportation.  Register with a deposit of $100 (checks payable to NCPC with your students name and Hume 2012 in the memo). All monies and forms due by Thursday August 9.  Spots are limited - get your deposit in today!

Padres Game - Saturday, June 2 - 4:15pm - we are headed to our annual Padres game!  This is a fundraiser with proceeds going to help students go to camp.  It is free replica jersey night at Petco - so you get a free shirt!  Meet at Petco - you are responsible for your own transportation.  Cost is $26.00, sitting in the lower left field seats.  Tickets on sale at NCPC on Sunday May 20 & 27, and we will get the tickets to you the week of the game.

High School Graduate Dinner - Thursday, June 7, 6pm at Brett's BBQ in Encinitas.  Bring your family out as we celebrate the high school graduates from NCPC.  Order food on your own, then we will take a few minutes to honor our grads.  Family/friends welcome.

Grad Sunday - June 10 during the Family Service - We will recognize all graduates from 6th grade, 12th grade and college the morning of June 10 during the main service.  If you have a student that you would like to see recognized, please email students@ncpcfamily.org

Car Wash - June 10 after family service - Get your car washed, help send kids to camp.  The proceeds from this student run car-wash go directly to sending students to camp.  Each student working get $$$ off their camp bill!  Tickets for pre-purchased

Switchfoot Bro-Am - Saturday June 16, 12pm-5 - Every year, Switchfoot hosts a Surf-competition/fundraiser/concert festival at Moonlight Beach.  And its FREE!  Funds raised benefit Stand Up for Kids.  Over 10,000 people attend annually.  Concerts start at 12pm, Switchfoot plays around 3pm.  Its a really fun day - great music, great food, and tons of vendors selling cool stuff.  Everyone is invited - join The Dome as we hang out with 10,000 of our closest friends!  More info at switchfoot.com

Promotion Sunday - Sunday June 17 - We will be promoting the 6th graders to 7th and the 8th graders to high school on this day.  FYI.
